VGAnyLan The VGAnyLan creation was born from HP, and follows the IEEE 802.12 standards (802.x is covered in a later chapter) and is based on demand priority access as opposed to the CSMA/CD (Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Detection) of standard Ethernet, or CSMA/CA, a similar standard using Collision Avoidance rather than detection. While this offering does have a full IEEE standard specification, it failed in the standards wars. Because the NETWORK+ test is very broad in scope, expect to see a question or two on this standard.
