Accessibility
When considering physical placement
of equipment, keep in mind both security and ease of use.
It may seem like a good idea to put a new laser printer in the middle
of an office, so it is equally inconvenient to everybody. Also if engineering
shares the floor with the lunchroom, why would you make the heavy printing
engineering group walk halfway down the floor, when almost nobody will
be accessing the printer from the lunchroom?
Physical security is also
an issue. Regardless of how secure your NOS is if the server
can be accessed physically, it isn’t secure.
This must be considered along with environmental conditions.
 Gotcha
If the server can be physically touched, it isn’t secure.
