Workgroups
In a domain, some domain name
is assigned or entered, such as marketing, or Seattle. The default
name in setting up a domain with Microsoft Server products carries
the catchy title of DOMAIN.
Typically, a workgroup is
setup with a minimum of fuss (and frequently a similar minimum of technical
knowledge) so it is not uncommon to see the person who set up the peer-to-peer
network with Microsoft’s default name for this type of network,
with the equally catchy title of WORKGROUP.
