Using Compression Agent

You can use Compression Agent to compress selected files using the settings you specify. Compression Agent, will help you save disk space by compressing files, or improve performance by changing the level of compression on your files.

During file recompression on your drive, the Compression Agent updates the information in a Table to show you how your disk space changes as files are moved from one compression method to another.

To open Compression Agent, click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Compression Agent.

This feature is used primarily for compressing all the files on a drive.
