Troubleshooting Example: Dial-Up Adapter (Page 3 of 3) Update Driver Go back to the Driver tab and choose the Update Driver Tab, as shown in Figure 75.
A wizard or help window will tell you to click next while it searches for information. This is only one of a number of wizards in Windows, which step you through common administrative tasks.
Then choose to either have Windows search for a driver or to load a driver from a downloaded update or manufacturers drivers disk.
The Dial Up Adapter is listed, so select that. This is the time to use the manufacturers driver disk or to use a downloaded driver update, by clicking the Have Disk option.
After installing the driver, click Finish to complete the wizard. Often you may need to reboot your computer after installing a driver. This is less true on later versions of Windows, particularly Windows 2000 and later, than on earlier versions.
