The Task Bar (Page 3 of 3) Bringing Up the Task Manager Sometimes a program will stop responding due to a variety of reasons. When this happens we can use the CTRL+ALT+DEL keys by pressing them at the same time to bring up a menu listing all the tasks or programs running. We can then end the program or task from the menu that appears without having to reboot our computer to get the computer to respond again. To end a program highlight and click the one you wish to close on the menu to end the task.
Make special note of the warning listed in the menu. It is also good to know that if you do press the keys that brought up this menu you will reboot your computer.
