Knowing how to plan backups,
we are going to be as safe as possible. We expect hardware and media
(drive, cable, hardware, even power) failure will eventually occur,
so learning to make copies is not a bad thing. If you are not backing
up to a network consider backing up to removable media. Some of us do
both!
These authors are sure one day you
will be glad you planned.
We cannot address however,
the failure on the part of that between seat and keyboard to make certain
the backup happens.
