Network Drive Mapping Another method of sharing is to map to the network drive where the printer is located and click on the printer you want to print to when you see it. This is done by either right-clicking My Computer or by b right clicking on the start and then choosing explore. You can also get to Explorer by going to start, programs, Windows Explorer. Once there chose from the menu, tools, then Map Network Drive, as shown in Figure 173 and Figure 174.
Then select the network drive letter as shown in Figure 175. Note that it must be already shared for you to access it.
Once you see the drive that has the printer attached to it, then Map and be sure and click on the Reconnect at logon box. This will allow you to stay or reconnect to the printer or drive where a folder is shared, and then make it easier for you to locates it graphically on your local machine. The other method is to browse the network and when you see a shared printer , then click it on to print to it. If a special driver is needed for that printer it will install for you across the network.
