IV Protocols
The protocol that will be
installed is dependant on the method of communication
chosen for the network. The protocol must be properly configured
to get the computer to talk to the network. The operating systems
installs by default the protocols. They are:
- Windows 95 NWLink (IPX/SPX), NetBUEI
- Windows 98 NWLink (IPX/XPX), NetBUEI
- TCP/IP (Available in 95, installs in 98)
- Windows 2000 TCP/IP
Available Protocols
Windows 9x, NT4 WS, W2K Pro: NetBUEI, NWLink (IPX/SPX), TCP/IP (W2K Pro only), AppleTalk.
NT4 Server/W2K Server: NetBUEI, NWLink (IPX/SPX), TCP/IP, AppleTalk. |
