File Structure Review
Windows 95 B (OSR2) introduced
FAT 32 and continued through with Windows 98 and Me. NT4
was too far along in the development cycle to include support for FAT
32.
NT Cant See It
NT cannot see any FAT 32 partitions. NT be installed as an upgrade over Windows 95, if Win 95 was installed on a FAT 16 partition. It is entirely possible to have first installed Win 95 (B) over a Win 3.x with FAT 16, then added a hard drive and formatted it FAT 32, with Win 95 seeing both partitions. Once NT upgrades Win 95 (B) the newly installed FAT 32 partition would not appear to exist in reality. |
