To view the properties of a file: Open My Computer, or Windows Explorer, and double-click on the C Drive. Look for the Program Files folder, and right-click on the folder, to bring up the menu. Click on Properties, and you will see something like Figure 100.

As you can see there are several options to check regarding the properties of this file folder. In this instance the Read-only property is checked and therefore true for this file folder. (More about what this means, later!) This is a file attribute.
