Test Objectives Vs. Reality
When the Subject Matter Experts created
the A+ Core Technologies test, the real world was at a particular state
of the art. Less than 2 years later, the CPU landscape appears to have
been created with materials from another planet. Given this, the questions
presented will reflect the 2001 domain objectives. This chapter will
also give you the real world as of Q3 2002. Pay attention, as these
are different worlds. (Editor’s note: of course, as of late
2004, things have changed a great deal once again!)
