I Introduction to Chapter 0000 To get a sense of where we are, it helps to see where we came from. In other words, to know where Information Technology (IT) is going, it helps to know where it has come from. The first few pages of this chapter are historical in nature, and not required for the A+ Core test. At first, it may appear discussion about electrons, the nature of electricity and math concepts have little to nothing involving A+. These concepts will propel you though topics that have 'hair pullers' for some, because you cannot see the action, only the sometimes fatal results. When you ensure that you have a fair knowledge of these basics, real-world and test questions about items such as SCSI or network termination and the weird behavior when you don't) become obvious. Because you know why, even though you cannot 'see' or feel the static, you understand how to not cripple or kill expensive equipment.
