What's This? Explained Many applications are distributed with context sensitive help. This is a short piece of text associated with most of the options in an application which can be accessed by right clicking the mouse on a control, and selecting Whats This? from the menu that appears.
Clicking on the Whats This? item displays some helpful text in a manner similar to a large tool tip.
Determining whether an application supports context sensitive help is very straightforward. If help is available, a ? button will appear in the title bar. Clicking it turns the mouse cursor into a question mark; subsequently clicking a control within the same dialog will display the same context sensitive help as the Whats This? option. It is generally potluck whether an application supports context sensitive help or not.
