What is a Window? (Page 3 of 3) Window Resizing Depending on the operating system, some windows will also have a resize handle positioned at the bottom right of the window.
Clicking and holding the left mouse button whilst the cursor is over this handle allows you to alter the shape and size of the window. You will also find that if you move your cursor along the very edge of each side of the window, it changes shape.
Clicking and holding the left mouse button will allow you to resize the window in one direction only, providing more control over the window dimensions than the handle at the bottom right. Depending on the operating system, configuration preferences and context you may see all, some or more than the components shown in Figure 103.
