Ultra160 SCSI

Ultra160108 is a defined application of the Ultra3 specification. An industry standard equips Ultra160 with three specific features of the Ultra3 SCSI standard. Ulra160 SCSI encompasses the SCSI2 standard and includes the following Ultra3 SCSI features:

  • Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC): This feature provides error detection

  • Double Transition Clocking109: This feature provides a performance increase without increasing the bus clock rate

  • Domain Validation: This feature checks the soundness of the entire SCSI bus to ensure the maximum data transfer rate.
