UDP

UDP transports data unreliably between hosts. Following are the characteristics of UDP: connectionless, unreliable, transmit messages (called user datagrams), provides no software checking for message delivery (unreliable), does not reassemble incoming messages, uses no acknowledgments, provides no flow control
