The Attrib Command As discussed previously, files stored on FAT or NTFS volumes have 4 possible attributes, remembered by the RASH mnemonic. Using the attrib command, you can toggle each of these on and off from the command prompt. Attrib accepts a + or symbol, where + signifies turn on and signifies turn off, followed by a single letter representing the attribute to manipulate.
This is the CDI equivalent of right clicking a file in Explorer and checking or unchecking the attribute checkboxes found at the bottom of the dialog.
