Taskbar and Start Menu The Taskbar and Start Menu selection under or pick a Control Panel icon displays the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties box seen next.
There are two tabs available; the Taskbar28 tab which is seen above and the Start Menu29 tab. The Taskbar tab allows you to configure the appearance and functionality of the system tray including locking the taskbar, using auto-hide versus keeping the taskbar always on top, and show launch. Clicking the customize button allows you to select the items you want notifications about in the system tray. The Start Menu tab allows you to choose between the Windows XP Start menu appearance and the Classic start menu appearance found in prior versions of Windows such as Windows 2000 Professional. __________________ 28. http://www.microsoft.com/enable/training/windowsxp/taskbarontop.aspx 29. http://www.microsoft.com/enable/training/windowsxp/customizestartmenu.aspx
