Device Properties



The final option, “Properties”, is the one you will use most. Selecting this option displays the dialog of Figure 96.

Resist the temptation to click the “Troubleshooter” button; it simply opens a help file rather than doing anything useful! If you are having issues with a device, the first action should be to check the “Resources” tab.

In this case, the device is not conflicting with anything. Resource conflicts used to be a fact of every day computer use, but thankfully, “plug n play” has almost eradicated this issue.
