To demonstrate permissions on Registry keys, locate the HKLM\Software\CompTIA key in the RegEdit32 interface.

Left click on the CompTIA key, click the “Security” menu in the RegEdit32 menu bar and select the “Permissions” menu option.

The permissions dialog that appears is identical to the file and folder permissions dialog. The permissions work in exactly the same way, so will not be recapped here.
