Remote Desktop Back on the Network and Internet Connections page, clicking on Remote Desktop opens the System Properties box and automatically selects the Remote tab as shown in Figure 237.
From here, under Remote Assistance you can invite the user of another computer on the network to access your computer remotely. Clicking on the Remote Assistance link provides an informational help page and clicking the Advanced button allows you to place limitations on allowing your computer to be controlled remotely and the amount of time an invitation can remain open. Under remote desktop, clicking on the Select Remote Users button will allow you to choose which users can remotely control your computer.
Clicking on Phone and Modem Options opens the Location Information Properties page where you can configure the specifics of a phone or modem connection including by country, area code, carrier code, and selecting a number to be dialed for an outside line. You can also choose between tone and pulse dialing.
