Performance and Maintenance

Back at the Control Panel Category Page, clicking on Performance and Maintenance opens the Performance and Maintenance Category Page. You see the familiar “Pick and task” and “or pick a Control Panel icon” areas and the “See Also” and “Troubleshooters” areas. An example of this category view is seen in Figure 242.

Under the “Pick a task” title, you can select:

  • See basic information about your computer

  • Adjust visual effects

  • Free up space on your hard disk

  • Back up your data

  • Rearrange items on your hard disk to make programs run faster

Under “or pick a Control Panel icon”, you can choose:

  • Administrative Tools

  • Scheduled Tasks

  • Power Options

  • System
