Modem Properties

The modem applet allows you to manage the physical modem devices installed in the computer, as well as the dialing rules and TAPI (Telephony Application Program Interface) providers.

The first visible tab manages the dialing rules for the computer. These control how the modem will dial telephone numbers and make connections.
