Current Modem Configuration



The second tab in the Modem configuration applet lists the currently installed modems.

Selecting a modem and clicking properties allows you to configure each modem.

The contents of the “General” tab are self-explanatory, with the exception of “Maximum port speed”, which controls the speed at which data is sent to the modem. In modern computers a baud rate of 115200 is fine, however very old machines may need to have a lower value set.
