Do not expect every Windows error message to tell you much about the problem, many of them just cannot help you much and you need to investigate. A lot of information do not mean much even to application developers. Still it is a good practice to write down the exact error message when trying to help assist the developer of the application; it might help. Nevertheless, to A+ technician information like “illegal operation in Mathpass.exe happened” is more than enough, as in the example shown in Figure 319.
