New Connection Wizard 1 Internet Properties - Security

Under “or pick a Control Panel icon”, selecting Internet Options³³ opens the Internet Properties box as seen in Figure 228.

As you can see, this is the same box that was opened except that the General tab is selected by default instead of the Connections tab³⁴. Under the Internet Properties box in addition to the General and Connections tabs, you can also select the Security tab, the Privacy tab, the Content tab, the Programs tab and the Advanced tab.

In the General tab, you can configure the home page your computer opens when you launch a browser, the Temporary Internet files including having the ability to delete cookies, delete offline files and to configure settings for the Temporary Internet files folder. The General tab is shown in the figure above.
