Frontside/Backside Bus The main goal of the Front side Bus is to communicate between the CPU and the main memory. This bus generally runs at much faster speeds than other buses in the PC. The exception to the rule is the Backside Bus. This is a route between the CPU and a special type of RAM discussed shortly.
