File Structure
The composition of files is a key
to successfully negotiating the A+ Operating System test part. Understanding
the organization and file feature information is also a key to managing
a hard drive efficiently. Realizing that not all file structures are
alike can also aid in preparing for the installation of a new drive.
Each operating system has a file
structure that dictates how information should be organized when written
to the hard drive. There are features and benefits to each type of
structure, and understanding those features allows informed choices
to be made.
