Fatal Errors: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) or ***STOP

Stop error means the system (actually the kernel) detected an error from which it cannot recover, or the processor detected a hardware condition from which it cannot recover. On NT family, this is an indication of a serious problem.

Event is being logged in System log, the system is being stopped or automatically restarted, depends of your choice in Control Panel > System > Advanced > Startup and Recovery Settings screen, the part System Failure.
