Exploring with Konqueror
Konqueror, as seen in the next figure
can be used as either a Web browser or a tool very similar to
Windows explorer, which will allow one to view and navigate through
the file system. This is one view of Konqueror showing a file view
of the directory containing some of the files used to create this chapter.
A directory can be viewed by typing the full path to the desired directory
in the location bar at the top of this window (this is also the location,
where one would type the URL for a web page if one were surfing the
Web).
Figure 347: Linux Web Browser

Figure 348
shows the same directory in text or list mode, which gives a
great deal of information about any a file or directory: including its
size, its type, the last date it was modified, its access permissions,
as well as the user/owner and group associated with that file.
