Event Viewer

Windows NT based systems record many
events, which you can monitor in Event Viewer. In Application and System
log, program and system can inform you about errors, warnings and other
information. Application developer decides when to send those messages.
Security log is programmable by user. For example, you can track particular
events such as file access to particular file.

You can start Event Viewer
by typing eventvwr in the Start>Run window.
