EventCreate (Page 2 of 2) Creating an Example Event We can test how this command is used by utilizing the following example: eventcreate /t error /id 100 /l application /D create an event in application log. After you press Enter, go to Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools ->Event Viewer -> Application Log. When you open the application log, you should see the error listed at the top. An example of the output for this command is shown in Figure 272.
This command can be used on both local machines and connecting to remote hosts.
