Dial Up Networking (Page 1 of 3) To connect to an ISP via modem (as opposed to a broadband connection), we must have a modem installed and working, and a configured Dial Up Networking Connection, or DUN connection, for Windows to use. To create this connection we use the Make New Connection wizard in the Network and Dial-up Connections folder.
After clicking Next on the wizards initial introduction screen, we are presented with the options shown in Figure 450.
