Dial Up Networking

To connect to an ISP via modem (as opposed to a broadband connection), we must have a modem installed and working, and a configured “Dial Up Networking Connection”, or DUN connection, for Windows to use. To create this connection we use the “Make New Connection” wizard in the “Network and Dial-up Connections” folder.

After clicking Next on the wizard’s initial introduction screen, we are presented with the options shown in Figure 450.
