With that warning in mind, we will make some Registry changes! It is advisable that we do this in a relatively safe location, so navigate to HKLM\Software key to begin.

Next, create a new key by right clicking the Software key, selecting “New” from the popup menu and clicking on the “Key” option. A key will be added to the display, and you will be prompted to enter a name for it. Name it “CompTIA”, press return to commit the new name and click on it with the left mouse button. The status bar at the bottom of the RegEdit window will reflect the new HKLM\Software\CompTIA path.
