Control Panel Causes an Error When Opened

Applications can add icons beside system ones to Control Panel by adding a special kind of .DLL binary executable files to Windows system directory – CPL files. CPL file works in conjunction with .CPI, which is just as an information file. If Control Panel causes an error every time it is being opened, a badly written .CPL file is the cause.
