Connecting to a Network
To set your Mac up on a network, you have to start at System Preferences>Network. From here, you can either just edit the default location, or create a new one. To create a new location, choose the drop down menu next to Location and then click New Location. You will be prompted for a name for your new location. Name it whatever you want. From here, you will edit the settings for a Modem, Ethernet, or Airport.
