Configuring Internet Explorer Security Zones (Page 6 of 7) Scripting Options Finally, the scripting options must be configured. CompTIA explicitly state this as an A+ objective, most likely due to the severe security issues surrounding these options.
Active Scripting should always be disabled for untrustworthy or suspicious sites. If enabled, a malicious site is able to control your web browser, force you to visit unintended websites (normally containing casino-games, pornography or chat-sites) and install applications like dialers, trojans and viruses on your machine. All is done through these 3 little options!
