Appearances and Themes

Going back to the main page of the category view, the first option you can select is Appearance and Themes. The Appearance and Themes page is shown in Figure 205.

This page collects the configuration options that affect the overall look of Windows21. In the upper left hand area of this page under “See Also”; you can choose Fonts, Mouse Pointers, High Contrast, and User Account Picture. Under “Troubleshooters” just below, you can choose display and sound.

In the main area of the Appearance and Themes page under “Pick a Task” you can select from:

  • Change the computer’s theme

  • Change the desktop background

  • Choose a screen saver

  • Change the screen resolution

Just below this on the same page, you are given the option of selecting from the classic control panel icons. Under “or pick a Control Panel icon” you will be given the options to choose:

  • Display

  • Folder Options

  • Taskbar and Start Menu
