Again, from the Control Panel category view, clicking on Add or Remove Programs takes you directly to this area of the control panel. The options are identical to what a user of Windows 2000 Professional would see in this area of the control panel. Add or Remove Programs allows you do safely add and remove software from your Windows XP computer. From here, you can also add or remove Windows Components (assuming you have the Windows XP operating system CD) and set program access and defaults. An example of the Add or Remove Programs page is shown in Figure 238.
